After connecting Tailscale network on Mulerun Cloud VM, VM cannot start, shows 30000ms timeout and heartbeat_ack error
Steps to Reproduce the Bug:
-
Use a Mulerun Cloud VM (Computer instance) on the Mulerun platform
-
Install and connect Tailscale network inside the VM, which modifies the system network configuration
-
Try to start/restart/fix the VM after Tailscale is enabled
Expected Behavior:
The VM should start normally after enabling Tailscale, or allow network reset/repair via the platform.
Actual Behavior:
-
The VM cannot start / enable
-
Shows error: timeout of 30000ms exceeded
-
Console logs show: [useComputerAcpChat] heartbeat_ack sent {computerId: null}
-
The platform only provides an AI chat “Computer” page, no network/network card configuration interface available
-
Cannot reset network, detach NIC, or repair VM network through platform settings
-
VM is completely stuck and cannot be recovered via built-in Fix button
Environment:
-
Platform: Mulerun Cloud Computer (VM)
-
Issue: Tailscale network conflict caused VM boot failure & network breakdown
-
Errors: 30000ms timeout + heartbeat_ack {computerId: null}
-
Interface: No network/NIC management section found in dashboard
